A month ago, we moved back to my parents’ house to finish up our bus. Most of our stuff is packed up and we’ve been sharing their kitchen with them.
Before we moved, I took a bunch of photos of my kitchen. I did so to submit them to Cheeseslave’s real food kitchen blog tour series (and also to document that my kitchen does actually get cleaned). However, I decided to wait until our bus was ready to send in those photos.
But somebody’s got to see them, right? I know I’m not the only one who gets a kick out of those bright orange countertops. (The ones in the bathroom were bright yellow).
So, without further ado, welcome to my (old) retro kitchen:
Sink side. AKA the place where clutter tends to accumulate. Not so on this day. Woo hoo!
Windowsill garden/plastic bag drying rack. Aloe vera. Basil. Bamboo. Plant I cannot identify.
Kombucha waiting for the secondary ferment.
Making chicken stock the super easy way.
Spice rack from my mom. Getting rid of the knife block in the bus and going down to just three knives.
Beans! And my fantabulous yard sale Dutch oven. (Sometimes, I pretend it looks like this.)
Pots and pans. Minimizing even further for the bus.
My little helper.
Popcorn time, baby.
A miraculously clean table. And a whole lot of fruit.
Well, there you have it, minus my pantry. I took pictures of it, but the lighting was terrible and you couldn’t see anything. I’ll just tell you that it was a lot of canning jars filled with dry goods.
Thanks for stopping by!
