I know I need to exercise to keep my body healthy. I know it. I just don’t do it. There are so many excuses I use, number one being kids, but really it’s just laziness. I talk myself out of it only to feel guilty later about not exercising. Well, I’m really sick of doing that.
Kat over at Inspired to Action shared this link in her free e-book Maximize Your Mornings. Be sure to check it out. She’s helping so many women get started on a great morning routine – rising early, worship, exercise and a plan for the day. I read it at the beginning of the year and was inspired. I stuck with it for almost a whole week ;).
Now that Isaiah is past the newborn stage and I feel as if I have a grasp on life with four kids, I’ve decided it’s time to try again. At the end of Kat’s book is a link to the Couch to 5K program at Cool Running. I checked it out and decided I can do it. This is a really great workout that only needs to be done 3 days a week, so I no longer have the “but Ian works 48-hour shifts so I can’t exercise regularly” excuse.
So today I slipped into my new Vibram Five Fingers (wait ’til you see these!), listened to a 48 Days podcast on my ipod and completed workout number 1. It wasn’t too much and I actually jogged (slowly) for all of the 60-second intervals. I’m really excited to be doing this and need your support to keep going!
