Today I’m answering a question I get a lot – how to use essential oils with kids. However, I shot a video because I had a lot to say and I had some really cute models.
In case you missed something…
The most common oils I use on my kids are:
OnGuard – Protective blend by doTERRA that boosts immune system function.
Breathe – doTERRA’s essential oil blend offers cough relief almost immediately.
Lavender – I apply a swipe to everyone’s forehead before bed.
Serenity – doTERRA’s soothing essential oil blend that calms crazy kids and helps stressed mamas sleep.
When applying essential oils to kids, remember:
Dilute! - Use 1 drop essential oil to 4 drops carrier oil. Not all essential oils need to be diluted, especially doTERRA ones, but dilute if you’re not sure about how kids’ skin will react.
Bottoms of feet – The bottoms of the feet have really thick skin that’s not so sensitive. Bonus points if you know reflexology and can apply oils to the corresponding affected area. Super strong oils, like oregano, definitely need to be diluted, even on adults, and applied the feet.
Got a question? Leave it in the comments below. You can also read my essential oil resource page for more info.

I love this information. You’ve got a beautiful blog here. I have been using oils to try to prevent my tweens from having much trouble with acne. I have found the simplest ingredients really HELP.
